"The birds are in their trees,
the toast is in the toaster,
and the poets are at their windows.

They are at their windows
in every section of the tangerine of earth-
the Chinese poets looking up at the moon,
the American poets gazing out
at the pink and blue ribbons of sunrise."

Hi Sandy

The pictures might have been even better but I had just changed the battery and it was set on landscape I didn't dare lower it to check for fear the magpie would see the movement. However I was really happy with the photos. I have never seen a magpie bathe with quite this much vigor. It was a warm day with a chinook, after this magpie finished two others hopped in to drink and preen a bit but they did nothing approaching this.

These photos just made me smile and then the poem at the end made me smile even more! Thanks!
