Ruffed Grouse

"But, soft! what light through yonder window breaks?
It is the east, and Juliet is the sun.
Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon,
Who is already sick and pale with grief,"

you know who

First week at the cabin, the season seems a month early due to the early arrival of warm weather so most of the birds have already nested and brooded and we are not seeing as many but we did encounter this heartsick swain and his lady love.

" She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that’s best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes; "

from She Walks In Beauty
by Lord Byron
