This morning we had impressive clouds
the colour seems a bit more dramatic
than I remember but I did not do much
editing. They did not signify extreme
weather, we had a cloudy morning and
a warm mild afternoon.

I am working on cloud identification
I think these are cumulus but I would
welcome a correction if you disagree.

Kathie from http://kathiesbirds.blogspot.com/
has suggested these are mammatus clouds
and they certainly look like them. Thanks Kathie

Hi Julie

Thank you very much. I really expected some unusual weather after that display. But the day was very mild.

Guy, what gorgeous colors and photos! Are those crows circling in the first shot? Some of the clouds look like they might be mammatus clouds. They are very dramatic. Google the word and see what you get! these photos are simply stunning. I can't imagine what it must have been like to see this in person!

Hi Kathie

Thanks for the id on the clouds I am sure that is what they are. And yes those are crows circling they have begun to gather for their trip to the sunny south. The gulls are also gathering.

Guy
