"the walk liberating, I was released from forms,

from the perpendiculars,

     straight lines, blocks, boxes, binds

of thought

into the hues, shadings, rises, flowing bends and blends

          of sight:"

The quote above is from one of my favorite
poems Corsons Inlet by A.R. Ammons. While
my walk was restricted to the parks and
parking lots close to my office I try to capture
some of the spirit.

"so I am willing to go along, to accept

the becoming

thought, to stake off no beginnings or ends establish

      no walls: "

I rarely see flickers in the trees. Love this set of photos.

Thanks Sandy

I was really happy to see a flicker. My birding has been long on magpies and house sparrows this winter and it was nice to get some variety.
