Earlier this spring.

"The answer must be, I think, that beauty and grace
are performed whether or not we will or sense them.
The least we can do is try to be there."

I was thinking about this very thing this morning. Bending to shoot something on the ground, I looked to my right, and there was spot under the trees with about twenty lady's slippers. A true spot of hidden beauty.

Hi Sandy

That is what I like about Dillard she sees the beauty, awe, and surprise that there is in nature and embraces it all with a kind of joy. Her reading and thinks about it do not get in the way of seeing what is around her and appreciating it, even the hidden.
